Happy Easter!!!

We all know that Easter means one thing (at least to a lot of people)…CHOCOLATE!!!

With all the chocolate that the Easter bunny brings it’s important to think of the effects it has on yours and your children’s teeth.

Bacteria in our mouth feed on the sugar that we eat producing acids which can lead to tooth decay. Top tips on preventing tooth decay:

  • Brush at least twice a day with a toothpaste containing fluoride
  • Try and eat sugary foods at meal times instead of in-between meals
  • Chew sugar free gum to stimulate your saliva flow
  • Visit your dentist regularly so that any signs of tooth decay can be detected early

Easter gifts don’t have to be edible…you could buy your child an Easter toy instead. 🙂

Enjoy the festivities from all of us at the practice!
